Description

This activity enables the Engagement Manager (Services) for the Service Run to:

  • Estimate plan forecast costs
  • Record track and control hours spent and costs
  • Report out to both internal and external stakeholders
  • Create and send correct and timely invoices and their mandatory attached specifications
  • Track payment of invoices.

Different tools might be used for different purposes depending on what is mandatory from Capgemini’s, local legal or taxation perspective and the capabilities of the tools in relation to those requirements. It might even be needed to create new tools in order to combine the necessary information needed to support this specific service delivery contract.

For example in case the Client demands the details of all travel expenses per resource per date per country to go with the related invoice. That would not only mean we have to be able to log this information, but also to combine it. The Finance And Contracts work stream team has to ensure that the needed information is captured and to make it possible to combine that information across both country borders and Capgemini internal borders (like SBU’s or BU’s).

Not all work in this activity has to be done by the work stream team. Specific departments or teams within Capgemini might be responsible to execute the actual work, like legal teams, financial control teams or tool implementation teams. There also may be standard services available for certain aspects. It is however the responsibility of the Finance And Contracts work stream lead to make sure that all this work is done in time.
